Important Reminders Related to Residential Instruction
As we reach the mid-point of the Summer Quarter, we want to ensure everyone that we are not becoming complacent in our awareness of the COVID-19 pandemic and the proactive mitigation protocols that Rasmussen has put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
Rasmussen College’s COVID-19 Preparedness Plan outlines the protocols that all students, faculty and staff must follow, especially when coming to a campus location for residential learning activities.
We cannot stress enough the importance of performing your Daily Self-Screening Checklist before coming to campus and reporting any symptoms to your local COVID-19 lead. If you are exhibiting any of the symptoms on the Daily Self-Screening Checklist, are awaiting COVID-19 test results, or have been diagnosed with COVID-19 after testing positive, then you must stay home. Rasmussen will work with students to the greatest extent possible to ensure a self-quarantine or self-isolation protocol does not result in a student falling behind in their coursework.
While you are on campus for residential learning activities, please remember that you must wear your mask or face covering at all times both inside the building and outside, with limited exceptions. Your mask or face covering needs to cover both your nose and mouth and should not be worn in a way that prevents full coverage.
You can help keep our campus community safer by practicing hygiene protocols such as frequent handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth; and using hand sanitizer to disinfect your hands when it is available. Additionally, continue to practice social distancing by keeping a six-foot distance between you and your classmates, following posted directional signs, and avoiding high-touch surfaces to the greatest extent possible.
We appreciate your commitment and help as we work to make the Rasmussen College campuses a safer learning and working environment for all of our students, faculty and staff.
