April 3, 2020 (2:10 p.m.)
As we prepare to start the new academic term next Monday, we wanted to express our appreciation for your understanding and flexibility in these unprecedented times. Over the past couple of weeks, we have had to make some difficult decisions that directly affect your educational journey, and have tried to do so in a way that ensures your future success to the greatest extent possible.
Rasmussen College faculty and staff are hyper-focused in their preparation for the Spring Term. They have responded to this crisis with grace and grit, operating under unparalleled circumstances to ensure residential courses have been transitioned to online versions where possible. They have implemented new technologies for virtual simulation. They have strengthened online resources to ensure high-quality learning opportunities remain.
We are aware that this also may be very different for you, and want to assure you that resources will be available to assist in your learning.
In short, we are ready for you!
Since 1900, we have weathered world wars, recessions, depressions, 9/11 and even the 1918 flu pandemic. It will be vitally important for you to stay in communication with your instructors and your advisor–now more than ever before. We do not know exactly what the future holds, but we encourage you to join with us in moving forward with purpose, wisdom, and courage.
Together, we will get through this!
We will miss seeing students on campus during the next term–and, like you, we cannot wait until we are all able to return to some sense of normalcy. We know that each of you will face this new term embodying the spirit that has made Rasmussen College a strong and vibrant institution for the past 120 years.
Start the term strong! Stay strong!
